Vehicle Description This 1966 Shelby Cobra Replica was professionally built in Janesville, WI, using an Everett Morrison Kit.
The build was completed in 2012 by my recently-deceased brother-in-law.
Doing this was on his bucket list but being a GM man he had a 1995 Corvette LT1 engine installed.
This fuel-injected 350 CID engine produces 300 HP and 340 ft/lbs of torque.
The engine is mated with a Richmond manual 6-speed transmission.
We have some written documentation/invoices but am not aware of many details mechanically.
That being said, I have no details on the differential and suspension.
Based upon an invoice, the engine had 19,000 miles on it when dropped into the Shelby.
The odometer on the car (see picture) is now 5,451 miles.
The car has power steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes, a heater, cruise control, and a cloth convertible top with side windows and mounting hardware.
The top, windows, and hardware have never been installed on the car.
There are seven gauges on the dash--speedometer, RPM, voltmeter, fuel, water temperature, oil pressure and oil temperature.
A heavy duty tan custom car cover is included.
The car looks and runs great.
There is a rock chip on the right rear fender (see picture).
It will need new rear tires in the near future.
The front tires are in great condition.
The tire sizes are 275/40ZR17 on the front and 285/40ZR17 on the rear.
The present tires are Kumho.
The seats are a little faded but in good shape.
We have driven it 177 miles since my brother-in-law passed away.
The Shelby has an Iowa-issued VIN and a clear title.
This Shelby turns a lot heads going down the street and gets a lot of attention in the parking lots.
Now all it needs is a sportster enthusiast who likes a lot of power and wind blowing through his or her hair.
