Duties: My duties and responsibilities are to:
I Operate electric, gasoline, or diesel powered fork lift trucks in order to lift loads weighing under 10,000 pounds as high as 168 inches. The fork. lift is operated to load/unload, transfer, transport, stack/unstack palletized/repalletize goods, boxes, crates, merchandise, materials, and supplies from one location to another. I have a working knowledge and ability to drive forklift over wood, concrete, or similar type floors through narrow aisles in buildings, warehouse facilities and occasionally outside over rough surfaces. F I daily follows general safety practices in operating equipment and performs operator's maintenance on equipment.
I daily use a computer terminal or other electronic device (e.g., a bar code scanner) to record receipt, location, issue, and inventory information. May occasionally use automated materials handling equipment such as mechanized platform lifts, stock selectors, mechanized carrousels, conveyors, or other automated storage and retrieval
I have a working knowledge and ability to determine, the general warehousing plan,
I demonstrate my abilities daily as I organize and arrange stock in the storage areas and to store items for maximum convenience of handling, ease of movement, and protection from damage, deterioration, and pilferage. I possess the ability to keep track, through operational system, of the turnover of items on hand, and recommend, the increased and decreases of stock, as appropriate. .I have knowledge and skill to determine need to notify the organization that maintains bulk quantities of items of needed replenishments in assigned work area.
I have demonstrated my knowledge of preparing and receiving reports for locally purchased items and shipments not accompanied by receiving vouchers. My skills exceed the ability to determine the specific hold locations most suitable for assembling shipments as well as where trucks or other conveyances will be spotted for pickup. I am extremely familiar with mechanized or non-mechanized operations that maintain stock inventory and location information in order to determine if the item is available and its location. I posses the utter most ability to establish the basis for over, short, or misplaced items by checking system for stock status information. By knowledge of forms, documents, and information needed to record receipts, stockage, and issues. And display my skills in using a computer terminal to input, access, and output supply management data. As required, skill in using automated materials handling equipment.
I exercise the ability to determine identification and condition of various items by visual observation, references to supply catalogs on microfilm, technical manuals, and the ; knowledge of various stock classes and characteristics of similar classes and the ability to read and understand data in supply publications describing the items.
I am sufficiently skilled in forklift operations to minimize risk of equipment damage or injury to self or others working in proximity of vehicle operations. Must have knowledge of lifting balance, palletizing, and height/width of items being lifted..
My assignments involves receiving, loading, for issue or shipment, and shipping various supplies and equipment. As this work requires warehousing skills and knowledge it is incumbent of me also to operate a forklift to complete assigned work ,to recognize both the basic and secondary work of my position .
My abilities involve accomplishing a complete warehouse operation in one or a combination of receiving, storing, issuing, or shipping functions.
