Job Description
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Quality professional located at their subsidiary company in Iowa. This position reports directly to the Senior Operations Manager.
Our client is a growing multinational supplier to the global appliance OEMs. With more than 60 years' of expertise and innovation, we design and sell components and systems to the residential appliance industry (refrigeration, cooking, laundry), commercial refrigeration, HVAC, retail display and home/office organizational markets.
Responsibilities
Leading the development, establishment and updating of Quality Assurance Policy and implementation of the Production System in close coordination with Engineering, Production and Purchasing to assure total compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Manage, motivate, train, and periodically review the performance of all company Quality Department employees.
Work closely with Engineering, Production and Purchasing to provide guidance and assure that full consideration for Quality has been given relative to design, manufacturing processes, purchased items and vendor selection.
Develop, establish, implement, and update inspection procedures, test procedures, control plans, audits for raw materials, in-process operations systems, finished goods, shipping audits, internal self audits, equipment, and fixture qualification/calibration, and vendor audits/certification
Utilize statistical techniques to analyze internal manufacturing processes and vendor systems for the purpose of defect prevention, process stabilization, determination of process/machine capability, variability reduction, and early corrective action.
Coordinate supplier Quality audits and certifications in close cooperation with Purchasing and Engineering.
Propose and budget for all Quality Assurance equipment and department expenses.
Publish periodic Quality reports detailing the results of all internal inspections, process studies, customer complaints, process problems, supplier problems or special events as they relate to Quality.
Create, coordinate and communicate Quality training to all staff
Develop, introduce and implement systems and process procedures that eliminate scrap and non-conformance in conjunction with other departments.
Lead the problem-solving process for system deficiencies, defective material and incapable equipment
Block incoming materials as well as internal products that do not meet Quality requirements from further processing, shipment, or assembly until the products fulfill Quality requirements and are put into satisfactory condition. Manage and monitor all customer returns and vendor rejects
Lead TQM implementation, Supplier Corrective Actions, APQP-PPAP and Continuous Improvement Programs
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business or a technical field
Minimum 5 years' in Quality Assurance or Quality Control profession preferably in manufacturing OR, a process improvement Lean manufacturing environment as a manufacturing engineer working jointly with Quality and ISO personnel.
Demonstrated competence in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methods, Statistical Process Control, Total Quality ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
