Summary:
The Company is a privately-held, global leader in aluminum rolled and extruded products, and aluminum recycling. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, the company operates more than 40 production facilities in North America, Europe and Asia.
We are seeking to add a talented a Reliable Operations Manager to our Business System team. The purpose of this role is to lead and oversee the development, implementation, training, teaching, coaching, support, and management of the implementation of a world class manufacturing reliability system using lean techniques across 14 facilities and corporate head office. The role will require approx. 75% travel to the various sites within North America, Europe and Asia. This position is one of the cornerstone roles of the Business System - Reliable People(Operations), Reliable Process, Reliable Assets.
The individual in this role can be located at any of our key Rolled Products North America (RPNA) facilities (Lewisport, KY; Uhrichsville, OH; Ashville, OH; Davenport, IA; Koblenz, Germany; or Duffel, Belgium).

Responsibilities Include:
Lead the development and implementation of a world class Reliable People (Lean Operations) system- across the company.
Support the building and development of the Global Business System organization.
Support cultural transformation within the Global Business Improvement Process role out, support the 3 regions during implementation process.
Train and develop leaders on lean principles, cultural transformation, and the lean leader mindset.
Develop and deliver a comprehensive world class Lean curriculum for Engineers, technical support, operations, maintenance and staff throughout the Global Business System.
Owner of the Company's Lean activities and tools.
Be the global SME for reliable operations implementation develop coordination with regions ensure consistent implementation.
Provide lean methodology expertise for system wide Business System deployment, including core tools: 5s, A3 Thinking, SMED, RCFA, TWI, Standardized Work, VSM, TPM, and Problem Solving.
Focus the Business System organization towards improvements on safety and reliability (people, process, equipment) through lean techniques and employee engagement.
Demonstrate effective team facilitation skills to engage the team and deliver results on time.
Drive change within the Business System & business leadership teams to enable the company to continuously improve performance, which includes managing the transformation roadmap, and leveraging Information Centers for continuous improvement, and creating a visual workplace.
Assist the global and regional leadership in the development of strategic A3s for the business and plants.
Providing event follow-up to monitor the progress of planned improvement implementation to assure timely action, appropriate management support, and achievement of expected tangible benefits.
Lead/facilitate projects and/or events which address high value-at-stake opportunities, helping to drive improvements in all facets of the business management team and beyond.
Develop and participate in Business System and HSE auditing throughout the company. Suggest and drive solution implementation.
Identify short-, mid-, and long-term wins that will transform the culture and produce results.
Coach and develop a problem solving culture at all levels of the organization.
Be a senior leader within the Global Business System organization - engage the workforce.
Ability to communicate across the organization at all levels, from individual contributors to leadership level.
Openly and effectively communicate about continuous improvement, build credibility through relationships, and provide leadership to the program.
Support the Global and regional Business System organizations in the development of programs/tools/techniques and communication across the company.
Support, lead and direct Root Cause Failure Analysis of significant People, Process, Equipment related downtime events at Plant locations; implementing permanent corrective actions to mitigate probability of reoccurrence.
Be a resource for operations, maintenance, HSE and supply chain in support of delivering the business objectives.
Spend 25% of working time on the plant floor focusing on employee engagements.

Requirements Include:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering, manufacturing/operations, or an equivalent level of degree.

years of experience facilitating, coaching and implementing TPM, Lean, kaizen/six sigma events and driving lean transformation with proven results and implementations.
Six Sigma Black Belt training/certification.
Previous experience in leading a team of subject matter experts.
Process/Technical or Operations Leadership experience with a proven track record of lean concepts.
Proven ability to successfully manage cross functional teams, and implement improvement within an established time frame, then sustain improvements.
Lean certification required, includes both education and the hands on ability to lead teams and implement improvements.
High energy, data driven, and results oriented.
Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills and organization skills, must be comfortable teaching and presenting to large groups at all levels of the organization from shopfloor to CEO.
Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Oracle, and various analysis tools (minitab, etc).
Willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time.

Preferred
Qualifications:
Aluminum Casting or Rolling Experience.
Fluent in German, Dutch, or Chinese.
10
years TPM experience.
CMRP or SMRP certification.
Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
