Design Verification Engineer - CONTRACT ONLY
Cobham Mission Systems is seeking a Design Verification Engineer at our Davenport, IA facility. The position is estimated to last approximately 12-18 months within our Mission Systems Division and will support our KC-390 AFFT program. This position will be responsible for supporting and delivering the verification activities from generating test procedures, conducting testing, and reporting of all formal qualification tests on the AFFT program.
_Principle Duties and Responsibilities_
Generation verification documentation including verification matrices test procedures, test reports and design / analysis statements.
Identification, conceptualization and management of qualification test hardware.
Management and participation in qualification tests.
Support of test article functional tests
Analysis and interpretation of data generated by tests
Active participation in communication and reporting sessions
Liaison with production on various aspects of hardware preparation and maintenance.
Day to day status reporting
Co-ordination of support from/to other departments; design, performance, stress etc.
_Required Qualifications_
Bachelors Degree in one of the following areas: aerospace, electrical, or mechanical engineering from an ABET certified program

years experience of Verification/Qualification criteria.
2
years experience of environmental testing.
2
years experience generating formal qualification documentation.
Familiarity/awareness with Industry standards; RTCA 160D, DEF STAN 00-35 and MIL STD 810
Due to export compliance, must be a US Citizen or lawful permanent resident of the US
_Desired Qualifications_
Knowledge of Refuelling Systems preferable
Experience with structured problem solving
Tooling design experience
Knowledge of material certification testing
