The St. Ambrose University Student Success Center seeks an energetic, relationship-oriented full-time Director of Reading and Study Skills. Reporting to the Dean of Student Academic Services, responsibilities include providing developmental classroom and individual instruction in study skills. Other responsibilities include organizing, planning and implementing tutor training; creating and presenting programming on effective study skills, including reading skills, time management, test taking, organization, memory strategies, and other study skills. Primary contact and liaison with coaches and athletic team members; and advising a caseload of students. Requirements: must have a Masters Degree in Reading, Education, or a related field. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills. St. Ambrose is an independent, comprehensive and Catholic diocesan university firmly grounded in the liberal arts. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
