Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant or hotel - Escort guests to their tables or hotel rooms and provide menus or information about the establishment - Assist with seating arrangements and ensure that guests are comfortable - Answer phone calls and make reservations or take messages as needed - Manage the waitlist and notify guests when their table is ready - Coordinate with the kitchen and servers to ensure timely service - Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with professionalism and efficiency - Maintain a clean and organized host/host station
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members - Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment - Familiarity with POS systems, such as Aloha POS, is a plus - Strong problem-solving skills to handle guest concerns effectively - Knowledge of food service procedures and guest relations best practices We offer competitive pay rates and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and friendly environment.
