The Delivery Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring our products are transported safely and efficiently to various job sites.
Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting fabricated piping, tools and equipment.
Duties include assisting in loading, making sure all items loaded are properly secured and using navigation tools to arrive at the right address.
Driver will be doing pickups and deliveries 90% locally with occasional overnight.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate and drive a commercial vehicle (with Class A CDL) to transport materials, equipment, and products to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Load and unload products, ensuring they are properly secured and protected during transportation.
Inspect and maintain the vehicle, performing routine maintenance checks and reporting any mechanical issues or malfunctions promptly.
Verify delivery instructions, routes, and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
Interact professionally with clients and site personnel, providing exceptional customer service.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logbooks, trip reports, and any other required documentation.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment.
Communicating with manager, drivers, and other team members to make deliveries Requirements:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as a Delivery Driver, preferably in a construction or mechanical contractor setting.
Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects and operating manual or powered material handling equipment.
Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to identify and report vehicle issues.
Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
High school diploma or equivalent.
