We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, mechanically inclined, and willing to work hard.
Mission The Set-up Technician is responsible for setting up our equipment to run specific jobs in the allotted time.
Performs at a level that reduces scrap and eliminates the need for adjustments.
The set-up tech keeps the facility organized, efficient, and operating at a high level.
The set up tech identifies opportunities, submits improvement suggestions, and assists with the continued mission of single minute set ups.
Competencies Complies with all safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas.
Performs set-ups on machines and obtains First Piece approval.
Ability to stay organized using 5S concepts.
Able to read prints and use quality measuring tools.
Working knowledge of tools and uses.
Able to follow LOTO policies and procedures.
Tech Skills Highly mechanically inclined.
Able to operate industrial equipment such as, but not limited to Tube Benders, Brake Presses.
Able to follow, write, and maintain set-up standard processes.
Quantitative Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Able to use and read measuring devices such as tape measures, scales, and calipers.
Proficient in using Microsoft computer software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Qualifications High school diploma or GED.
2 years in a manufacturing environment operating industrial equipment.
Working knowledge of shop tools.
