Substation Design Engineers are needed for a leading EPC organization. The Substation Design Engineers are responsible for conducting the engineering and design work of substations for utility clients. The incumbents will be responsible for conducting physical layouts, lightning protection, performing fault studies, and arch flash analysis. Qualified candidates must have a BSEE, PE Licensure, and 8
years' of related substation design experience. Our client has an opening in Davenport, IA, and Minneapolis, MN. Excellent relocation assistance is offered for this role.
Responsibilities for the Substation Engineer
Development of transmission line design parameters
Development of transmission standards and specifications, and preparation of affiliated studies and reports
Oversee financial performance including budget control of project assignments and indirect costs
Support project teams, marketing, business development, and technical support
Requirements for the Substation Engineer
8
years' progressive electrical substation design experience
BSEE and PE required; Candidates with FE or EIT will be considered
EHV design experience preferred
Project Management experience including developing and managing a design budgets and schedules preferred
Experience designing with SCADA interface and protective relaying systems
