We are looking for 15 driven members to help our cause- to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported 1-to-1 relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
AmeriCorps is a national service program funded by the federal government and administered by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). AmeriCorps has been called the domestic Peace Corps by many. The structure of the program is very similar. Adults agree to contractually commit to service for a specific amount of time, for an agreed upon benefits package that includes: a living allowance, healthcare coverage (if eligible), child care assistance (if eligible), and training. Service contracts typically are one year in length.
Examples Of Duties:
Customer Relations Specialist (1 Open Position) - Our Customer Relations Specialist will be patient, poised, and professional. They will be responsible for providing high-level customer service in response to all customer and stakeholder inquiries, leads, and volunteer screenings. A successful Customer Relations Specialist will produce positive outcomes in the following areas: volunteer yield and processing time; youth yield; youth/parent processing time; customer satisfaction, and quality ratings in customer relations processing, leading to high match retention .

Qualifications: At least 1 year of customer relations experience. Working towards a bachelor's degree in social services or related field preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to use time effectively, work independently, focus on details, relate well to multi-cultural environments, and collect meaningful data to draw conclusions.
Match Marketing Coordinator (1 Open Position) - Our match marketing coordinator will be social media savvy. They will expand our social presence and drive our social recruitment strategy. In addition, the Match Marketing Coordinator will highlight our match activities and feature successful matches.

Must have automobile, valid driver's license, and appropriate automobile insurance.
Recruitment Coordinator (1 Open Position)-
Our recruitment coordinator, will be outgoing, energetic, and creative. They will be responsible for building relationships with key businesses and stakeholders in order to recruit and enroll volunteers to act as mentors for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Additionally, the position requires comprehensive knowledge of the Big Brothers Big Sisters mission, goals, and program.

Qualifications:_ Minimum of Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communication, or social services _required_. At least 1 year of volunteer recruitment experience preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Publisher, and Excel. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to use time effectively, work independently, focus on details, relate well to multi-cultural environments, and collect meaningful data to draw conclusions. Must have automobile, valid driver's license, and appropriate automobile insurance.
Program Specialist (12 Open Positions) - Our program specialists are flexible, team oriented, and highly organized. They are responsible for the coordination and implementation of the community-based and school-based mentoring programs in the specified territory. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining ongoing service to the mentoring relationship to ensure child safety, positive impacts for youth, constructive and satisfying relationships between children and volunteers, and a strong sense of affiliation with BBBS on the part of volunteers. The successful incumbent will produce positive outcomes in the following areas: volunteer yield rate and processing time, child yield rate and processing time; match closure rate, average match length, customer satisfaction, school relationships satisfaction, match support contact rate, and match retention.

Qualifications: Minimum of Bachelor's degree in social services or related field required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Publisher, and Excel. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to use time effectively, work independently, focus on details, relate well to multi-cultural environments, and collect meaningful data to draw conclusions. Must have automobile, valid driver's license, and appropriate automobile insurance.
Qualifications:
AmeriCorps members must:
Be at least 18 years of age by the time of enrollment which begins September 1, 2014 (there is no upper age limit).
Have served no more than three terms of service in national service programs. Note: If a person has earned the equivalent of two full time education awards, he/she is still eligible to serve up to four terms, but is not eligible for another education award.
Be a United States citizen or have a permanent resident visa.

Benefits:_
These volunteer positions are funded through the AmeriCorps program, performing service activities on behalf of the City of Davenport in Partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters. This program requires a 12 month commitment to serve at a minimum, 1,700 hours while receiving a living allowance of $12,100.00 paid in increments every two weeks. The member will receive an educational award of $5,550.00 upon successful completion of the contract. Education awards can be put toward tuition, qualified student loans or school expenses. AmeriCorps members over the age of 55 or older are also permitted to transfer their Education Award to a qualifying family member.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
